pain, halo and a red hourglass. mix them all together and a badass night might shamelessly be delivered.
it is within an iconic venue that it all started .
6.30 pm in a semi crowded hall, when Bloodred hourglass, from Finland began its melodic set.
among the crowd, fans shouted proudly each of the words of their tunes, other enjoying for the first time the band.
however, despite being the opening band of the night, and a slight audio defaillance, among beasts of this world, they did amazing. warming brilliantly the hall. head banging, shy moshpits, frontman has it all to encourage the crowd to have a good time. surely a band to "re"discover . the sound is typically nordic but has nonetheless its own identity. the sun is till in them ...
from Sweden, with madness. zombies in pain were next up and ready to party, in their heads. stealing almost headliner's scene
needless to say those guys know exactly how to amaze and make the crowd jump, up and down. starting with zombie like attire and performing "it's only them" followed by "wake the dead", had the venue going freaking crazy. beasts, aware of their popularity and clear talent went on enjoying the stage as much as their public .
surprise, during the blackout occurring right before "go with the flow" that revealed the band fully dressed in fancy plumber clothes. a vision, absolutely. we can tell that true fans attached to the front row knew what was going on while the others were just wondering what was going on . a surprise after another during party in my head, that had us jumping like crazy, enjoying this banger. after the party, came the bluesy moment with band members on stools, in an almost intimate way. all went on amazingly until, sadly the end of the show, smartly announced by shut your mouth, which was absolutely not what the crowd did. guys have it, the mood.
hej, hej, Sweden, Gothenburg's finest precisely, warmed up behind the scene. the tension is palpable.
the crowd is demanding more by chanting. it's 8.55pm and the halo effect is ready to begin the march of the unheard.
entering the stage one by one under heavy fog, leaving frontman stanne for last, was already a blast . all smile, proud of their all new album, they pushed hard through old stuff to new meaningful lyrics . from growls directly from hell to heavenly sounds. occupying constantly the whole stage. never leaving a spot empty they killed it . with even sometimes clear signs of emotions from stanne, who saw all those metalhead showing appreciation over their new record. people have certainly their favourite in "conditional" and much probably their latest "what we become". clearly humming "march of the unheard " guitar notes was the highlight of the night. even after their last song, people continued singing it. leaving the band enjoying what they just created.
not a surprise the mix works, from in flames to the halo effect, the sound is always if not even stronger than ever. guitar hero engelin & strömblad supported by amazing bass player iwers, powerful Svenssons drum and of course inhuman stanne growls made a freaking good performance and we the fans can not wait for another treat . let us all be heard this time .
till the next gig
