usual rendez-vous on a trivial Sunday, but this time gathering masters in hardcore from USA to countries as neutral as Switzerland…

compelling line up, at times even astonishing headliner (but so deserved) though quite satisfying to see such young and acclaimed band on top of their fame. naturally, even after an endless war to get tickets, here we go, alive and kicking, ready to be part of this pure bred hardcore reunion. moshers all around, beware

a splendid matrimony between cult and fresh generations is about to be celebrated. it is well balanced, as wee can see in the audience. young approaching the scene and veterans are all arms crossed, waiting to begin their dance. only few rows, already making so much space for the ballroom. guys are already warming their feet up, ready to start a 2 step right away. others scrutinising safe places where to hide in case of imminent danger. but we know that's the scene and nowhere is really safe as soon as the guitars are tuned low, as low as it can be. guys in desolated, from Uk are freaking ready. and the dance begins. numb is the first track, and it seems like the crowd is here since forever. their response is huge. already bouncing and moshing. right about time to have them once again . despise a total temporary blackout during their set, the temperature stays piping hot. the beatdown is their signature, and we are dying for it, definetely can't get enough of it. powerful. True. hardcore.

other band, other atmosphere, same need. to unchain our inner voice and set ourself free, by joining the crew and move. that's what the acacia strain's frontman really want. deathcore, raw? step into the light, that's their first line while entering the stage. with flourishing they set the tone. audience even more than before lost it, and even though the want to enjoy the show was huge, the need to survive was stronger. hardcore shows are not a walk in the park. and the need to scrutinise the surroundings avoiding fists and kicks are a part of the fun (?) but we are used to it. the band is idolized, some are jumping on others to be able to reach front rows to stage dive, without succeeding. but when as soon as Vincent reach the barriers, some were lucky enough to sing in unison in the mic with him . absolutely a show to remember. powerful, meaningful, underlining current problems treated in those shows such as anxiety, depression, suicide and of course the importance to reach out for help and to find something that can help us get through this consistently. thumbs up as always for the motivational speech just right before the war restart, and punches are thrown involuntarily to people. great, a cult. must definelety watch.

gallow ready. hangmans getting ready, under a sinister atmosphere so usual for them. it's finally time, on stage, they are. paleface Swiss. can we say that the new material is enjoyable, there is a huge growth even though they already sounded great. right now, we can even listen to some clean vocals that absolutely give another meaning to what they sing. later; much later we would enjoy this. right now we are full of hatred, and energy. zelli has power to sell, his expressions are stunning and his voice is a copy paste of the studio album. identical. jumping, moshing, never skip a note. it's contagious. setlist is well built, not a false note. everything follows its course. beatdowns everywhere, malevolent growls. the audience is probably less aggressive than the two first acts, but instead it is singing along to most of the tracks. some were maybe thinking river of sorrows did'nt have its place int he setlist but wrongly, it works brilliantly. allowing the crowd to share that moment of intimacy with frontman. feel his feelings trough the lyrics, that are as always sharp, raw, felt.worn on his arms. and once again his voice did not fail . astonishing. forever and always trying to give their message hard and loud, by having also fun.
needless to say, a show 100 % worth the hype it is having. probably even better with time. ultimate blow, was to end with love burns, that for those who don't know ends with a massive singalong part. infinite, uniting Zelli's voice to ours. can we say more to encourage you to go to these guys gigs? no ? alright don't then! but regret it later . haters gonna hate. and others will get it.
please end me now!
