loserville, sportpaleis, Antwerp. starring one of the most influent nu -metal band of the millennial era. please welcome ladies and gents, limp bizkit! and their set of losers, not truly, obviously!

when we talk about nu-metal, it is really quite impossible not to think of those guys wearing baggies and new era (red) caps. well oh yeah, their presence is still what it was in the time. it is always a pleasure to see them and not feel old at all, right?! not being able to remember how we partied in the years 2000s, already 25 years ago? for a night, once again it’s time to keep on Rollin’ and party like it’s 1999 again !

despise the infinite jams around Antwerp and its neighbourhood, we made it to the venue, quite late but still there, our way. the venue is massive, really, wondering how it would be possible to make it an whole and unique mosh pit...
anyway, first to start is Karen dio, a sweet mix of punk and trad alt rock, pleasant, voice absolutely enjoyable, and energy to sell, really. a perfect choice to warm us up. and this not to mention the first big mosh pit of the night! hyped.

after a little appearance of the entertainer, jon carnage whose presence would become omnipresent during the night, it's already time for n8noface. one man band, wave-synth-punk style, interesting, fresh really uncommon must say, hits the spot probably also because the crowd is already super hyped for what is coming. thumbs up for his absolute courage, a talent in its own. something raw and yet enjoyable.

speech after speech of the entertainer making the time between the acts even shorter. which is something positive. much appreciated. artist after another and it's Ecca vandal's turn. rollin more and more into the rap route, that's what they give us, trap mixed with punchy rock sound. deep bass and nice voice, must say it is probably far from the style we came here for in the first place but the singer's presence is spotless, her dance moves are contagious and the crowd seems to enjoy much, and the customers are always right, they say...

god, that's the part when you feel that you're not 18 anymore, standing still for hours and have to stretch yourself between sets, is awfully painful to accept. and for the last opener of the night it started to be difficult to stay still.
bones, the aliens of the whole bunch of artists tonight are ready to burn the stage. ok not what we expect when we hear this name. rap, raw, with trap influences. the crowd is crazy about those guys, less for us. we believe it was a killer show, and probably they are amazing, witnessing the crowd go fire, but hey, everyone has got its taste in things, ours are slightly different.

annnnnnddddd, hungry, tired, but yet not destroyed, it is now time to dance like its early 2000. and oh boy we are ready.
red caps all around, ready! mosh-position ready, strategic poses, people are jumping from foot to foot; stretching, needing to break some stuff urgently. and here we go, to open the show is the song, the chaos anthem, no, not rollin, the other one! no not take a look around! oh yeah break stuff. do you need a picture to imagine what happened there?!
you've got only two choices, stay still enjoying the show and get hurt every damn second or be part of the mayhem and enjoy yourself with a bunch of friends like its the golden era again. I am telling you, second option is the best. head banging, jumping, turning dancing, panting! yes because their gig is absolutely made for gym rats otherwise, your breath is going to fail you. a real cardio session. cool if you just skipped gym that night to see them? lucky you, they've got the solution!
their setlist gives us no rest at all. it's an infinite circle pit, having in its centre mosh pits and crowd surfers. picture that! mayhem, apocalypse but in a good way. they are masters in chaos, and all of their anthems are part of the show.
and, nostalgia hits deep when I remembered years ago, being able to dance on stage with Fred durst and co during rollin' .
this time it's another fan's turn who performed full nelson ( brilliantly we must say) with him !
blow after blow, smile after smile, scream after scream, it's time to get emotional during behind blue eyes, which has fans getting each other in their arms. an hymn, sang religiously. all together with deep emotions.
who said metalheads are angry monsters again ?
all good things come unfortunately to an end. and despite the fact that our bodies are aching as hell, we need more, they know it. more blows, more crowd surfers.
oh yeah, what is better than break stuff ? break stuff obviously, so they put an end to the show exactly how they started it. breaking stuff, yes and elbows, and teeth ... but we forgive them as long as they remain alike for the rest of the times, promising us to come back as soon as possible. because we, teenagers of 2000, not too often but still, need to feel young again!
oh yeah you know what time it is ...
